Hlanganani plants lavender trees

Principal Elaine Galanakis addressed pupils on the important role that trees play.

HLANGANANI Preparatory observed Arbor Day last Friday with a tree–planting ceremony. Principal Elaine Galanakis planted two lavender trees on the school premises with the assistance of Xolisile Madikizela (gr 6) and Lwazi Ndlovu (gr 2).

All pupils were present for the ceremony and at assembly, the principal stressed the importance of trees and their impact on the environment, concluding her address with a reading from the poem ‘Trees’.
