SHEPPIE Primary welcomed spring by celebrating Arbor Day recently. At a special assembly, pupils were encouraged to care for the environment by planting trees, but most importantly, not to litter.
Ugu Health’s environmental officer Vasi Manawar was the guest speaker and she reiterated the need for pupils to preserve and protect land and water supplies.
The U13 soccer team competed in a soccer tournament recently and must be congratulated for an excellent performance and reaching the finals.
Last Thursday, the U9 boys and girls took part in a mini-cricket festival at Marburg Secondary hosted by Southern Natal Cricket Union. Teams played limited overs matches against neighbouring schools and PSP is extremely proud of pupils who performed well at this tournament.
