ISLAMIC School pupils were enlightened and entertained by the dynamic and animated Channel Islam International (CII) radio presenter, Maulana Arafat Hatia, at the morning assembly last Friday.
Pupils were captivated by riddles and quizzes and given a sneak preview of the ‘live’ programme to be broadcast internationally from the Islamic School hall.
The programme continued last Saturday morning and Islamic School pupils, as well as pupils from surrounding schools as far as Port Edward had fun going live on air to over 150 countries.
The pupils took part in the children’s programme which was beamed by the satellite radio station.
At midday, a special youth programme was hosted by Brother Ebrahim Gangat, a senior presenter at CII, who engaged the youth in interactive discussions surrounding social networking and racism.
Afterwards, every pupil was presented with a colourful stationery pack with compliments from Channel Islam International.
