THE recent interhouse athletics event was well supported by parents and pupils were filled with enthusiasm and good team spirit. The ‘Rhythmic Dancers’, under the direction of trainers Vanessa Ogle, Gail Moors and Michelle le Roux, gave an outstanding performance. A ‘goodie bag’ was handed to every pupil to round off the happy day and all generous sponsors were acknowledged personally. Head of sport Emma van Vuuren, sports co-ordinator Roxanne Vahey and dedicated staff outshone themselves.
Last Wednesday, gr 1, 2 and 3 boys’ A and B hockey teams took part in their first hockey tournament hosted by Creston College. Coaches were very proud of the players who are already looking forward to the next tournament.
School closes on October 3 at 10.30am and reopens on October 13. The principal, school governing body, all staff, pupils and families are wished a safe and happy holiday.
