Hlanganani goes festive for Heritage Day

Pupils were interested to learn that not all snakes are venomous.

Hlanganani's gr 5 pupils really loved dressing up in traditional clothing for Heritage Day last week.

LAST week Hlanganani Preparatory School pupils celebrated Heritage Day by wearing traditional clothes to school. Their bright outfits, colourful beads and face paintwork brought an air of festivity to school.

Gr 5 pupils visited uShaka Marine World last week accompanied by two gr 5 teachers, Moline Makombe and Thabisile Nzimakwe. The most interesting activity of all was the dolphin show.

Last Friday, gr 3 pupils went on an excursion to Pure Venom Reptile Park and were thrilled to see the many different species of snakes. Pupils learnt that not all snakes are venomous and play a significant role in the ecosystem.
