DURING the month of September, Southcity celebrated Arbor Week by planting the indigenous Vepris lanceolota, also known as white Ironwood. It flowers in summer attracting birds to nest and eat insects and is an evergreen. The school is hopeful that it will provide good shade for pupils for years to come.
Junior Primary held its cross-country last Tuesday and the school congratulates age group winners, Lea Rothman (U7 girls), Seth Simson (U7 boys), Caitlyn Peckham (U8 girls), Rave Drummond (U8 boys), Sinethemba Nkume (U9 girls), Axel Anthony (U9 boys), Lillo Nonkonyana (U10 boys) and Somila Manciya (U10 girls). Levi were house winners, Asher came second and Judah came third.
