MARGATE Primary pupils achieved second place in the Top Performing School category at the recent National Science Olympiad, which encourages excellence in science education. As well as being a fantastic achievement, these gr 6 pupils walked away with a prize of R4 500, which will go towards buying science equipment for the school.
The school choir once again excelled at the Norwegian Settlers’ Church hospice choir presentation last week. Pupils also managed to raise more than R2 000 for hospice by holding cake sales and raffles.
Practice is well under way for the foundation phase Christmas play later in the term. This production promises to be of the usual high standard and parents should make every effort to attend. They will not be disappointed.
