Pastor/principal faces rape charges

The man raped the teen on a number of occasions.

A MAN (44), who is believed to be both a pastor at a church in Margate Extension 3, and the principal at a school in the Eastern Cape appeared in the Port Shepstone Regional Court on Tuesday morning this week.

The man is facing the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl a number of times last year.

The teen is believed to have been a friend of the family.

The pastor/principal was arrested in May this year, with bail denied.

The man, who is represented by Attorney Linde Dlamini of Moors and Dlamini Attorneys, is expected to plea next week.

Warrant Officer Mfanafuthi ‘Pro’ Ngubane from the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) has been involved in investigating the case.
