Five stars for Sheppie High

The school achieved some sterling results.

WITH a pass rate of 98,36 percent, some sterling results and a pupil in the Ugu District top five ratings, Port Shepstone High School had plenty of reason to be proud this week.

Bianka Thom was the top pupil and earned eight distinctions and was placed fourth in the district. Asha Nanthalal Singh achieved seven As and Emilie Wood and Holly Allison each earned six. Five Port Shepstone High pupils received five As and 12 pupils received four As.

Last year, 245 Port Shepstone High candidates sat the examination. Of the school’s successful matriculants, 85.83 percent received bachelor degree passes, 12.08 percent received diploma passes and 2.08 percent received higher certificates.
