Margate Middle School on a winning streak
The pupils achieved 18 distinctions in IsiZulu.
HATS off to Margate Middle School, which wrapped up its matric year with a 93 percent pass rate, along with 14 bachelor degree passes and 11 diploma passes.
Top pupil, Lungelwa Ndabankulu, achieved two As and four Bs, followed by Nokwethemba Khumalo who scored three As and Bongumenzi Thutshini, who secured one A and two Bs.
Linda de Wet, head of the department of mathematics and science, said there was an outstanding performance with pupils obtaining 18 distinctions in isiZulu, two distinctions in business studies and one in tourism.
She said a 100 percent pass was achieved in life orientation, English, isiZulu, maths literacy, business studies and tourism.
“Management and the governing body would like to congratulate the pupils, matric teachers and parents on the excellent results obtained in the 2014 matric exams.” she said.
