Suid-Natal High scores 32 As

The school's head boy achieved four distinctions.

DESPITE a pass rate of 76.31 percent, Suid-Natal High matriculants  managed to secure 32 distinctions.

Former head boy, Vian du Plessis, who is the school’s dux pupil, did extremely well by achieving four distinctions in Afrikaans (home language), life orientation, geography and business studies.

Second placed pupil was Jamey Olkers and third was Danielle Smith.

A total of 24 pupils passed National Senior Certificate with admission to bachelors degree.

Sandra Nell, head of department of languages, said there was definitely room for improvement.

“There was a combination of problems and something will definitely be done about it in 2015,” she said.
