Hibberdene Academy learns about ‘stranger danger’
Extra lessons are provided daily and free of charge for all senior pupils.
HIBBERDENE Academy welcomes all pupils and staff back to what promises to be a fruitful and productive year for all. There has been a steady, pleasing enrolment of new pupils this year and there is a great deal of enthusiasm on the campus.
The foundation phase took part in a special talk on ‘Stranger Danger’ and the school is grateful to Keagan van der Merwe and Mark Smith from Gymbo Kids for giving up their time.
The school welcomes new staff member Nkrumah Bonsu to the CAT department. Three interns are doing practical teaching at the academy, namely Nicolin Pillay and Thulisile Nyuswa (part of the ISASA interns’ programme) and Nosihle Mhlangu who is completing her practical for UNISA.
Extra lessons are provided daily and free of charge for all senior pupils, as well as for pupils who arrive at the academy without proper grounding. There are still a few places available for 2015 and more information can be obtained at the office.
