‘Proudly Sheppie’ pupils donate blood
There is a shortage of blood and pupils stepped up to the challenge last week.
SHEPPIE High held the first of four quarterly blood donor clinics last Wednesday and out of the 127 cheerful pupils who volunteered to donate, sixty seven ‘proudly Sheppie’ pupils were accepted and eagerly took their turn in support of the cause.
PSHS had a successful start to the water polo season when they played against Amanzimtoti High last week. The junior girls won convincingly 7-2, the senior girls won 3-2 and the boys’ team lost 2-8. Boys’ basketball against Queensburgh, U15A won 33-19 and the first team won 46-38.
Boys’ cricket against George Campbell, U14 A team won by 62 runs – Brinley de Bruin 135 and John de Bruin 3/31. The U15 team won by eight wickets – Tyreek Naicker 36 and Gunther van der Merwe 34. The first team won by two wickets – Jarod Jacob 6/27.
