Hlanganani pupils prepare for marathons

Pupils will be allowed to wear civvies at school tomorrow for the St Valentine's Day programme.

A GROUP of grades 5, 6 and 7 Hlanganani Preparatory pupils are hard at training for marathon cross-country races. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons have been set aside for training sessions and coach Derick Erasmus has volunteered his service for this sporting venture.

Swimming also began last week and gr 4 and 5 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their first swimming session last Tuesday. Grades 6 and 7 had swimming last Thursday and foundation phase will begin swimming lessons this week Tuesday. Athletic circuit meetings begin today (12th) and 25 athletes have been selected to represent the school.

Staff and pupils are hard at work preparing a St Valentine’s Day programme for tomorrow (13th) and pupils will be allowed to wear civvies.
