Margate Primary loves civvies day

After a nail-biting finish, the U13 cricket team managed to win by two runs.

MARGATE Primary pupils celebrated St Valentine’s Day by coming to school in civvies. Some of the children wore magnificent clothes and they all enjoyed being out of school uniform for the day.

The U13 cricket team played against Creston College in extremely hot and humid conditions and after a nail-biting finish, managed to win by two runs. Simphiwe Xolo took 5 wickets. The U11 team also played against Creston College, but unfortunately lost their game. Special mention must be made of Siphesihle Mbambo, who batted very well. Asive Sobhusa and Josh Pillay were both selected for the Southern KZN U11 cricket festival. Well done to them all.

Athletes Kirstie Dicken, Sikelele Mbambo, Josh Pillay, Iviwe Cenga and Mazoseso Mavundla have secured places in the next round of the ward athletics meeting. Congratulations to all.
