LAST Thursday, Islamic School’s grade 4 pupils were treated to a host of educationally enriching events. An informative tour of the Margate Police Station followed by a talk from detective Captain Gerald Mfeka had pupils riveted. This was followed by an insect expedition at Bellevue Park and the day ended with a treat at Milky Lane.
Gr 9 parents attended an informative presentation on career choices and decision making skills within the socio-economic milieu in South Africa last Friday evening.
A well-researched presentation was delivered by Dr MS Karodia, covering statistics on university entrance requirements, the costs of tertiary education, popular career fields and guidelines on how pupils should begin engaging from gr 9 toward subject choices and career paths.
Last Saturday, gr 9 pupils took part in a three-hour career assessment, followed by an interactive and fun session involving selecting career paths.
