PORT Edward Primary’s cricket boys made the school proud by winning all their matches last week. All their hard work and good spirit is finally starting to pay off.
The U13 team played two matches, one against PSSP, which PEPS won by 5 wickets with 6 overs to spare. John Douglas ‘JD’ Hattingh was man of the match and took 3/3 off four overs. The other match was against Creston College and Port Edward Primary won by 4 wickets with Devanarayanan Anilkumar as man of the match.
It was not only the seniors who played so well, but the junior boys also did. The U11 team played against PSSP to win the match by five wickets and Joshua Jansen van Rensburg was named man of the match. The Cricket World Cup has definitely influenced young PEPS cricket players.
