Join the hockey academy

SPORTZ Kidz is a hockey academy that Lindy Horlock has been running on the South Coast for 12 years. She has been recently joined by coaches Gareth Bishop who is a level two coach and Kerry Herbert. Lindy said that her academy caters for boys and girls from grades one to seven.

“We concentrate on perfecting their hockey skills so they can compete in the Ugu District team matches as well as at higher levels. Training sessions are at Creston College on Friday afternoons from 3pm to 4.30pm,” said Ms Horlock.

“The children often play against touring teams and this year they will compete against the Durban Mini League. It is good quality outdoor sport which keeps them away from the television and computer games.”
