LAST week Creston College gr 3 pupils went on an excursion to Pure Venom Reptile Park to learn more about reptiles, but more specifically, to learn about snakes. Pupils were taught snake names and were shown which ones were harmless and which ones were venomous.
They were also allowed to touch snakes and got to handle a python. The lesson covered instruction and practical advice on how to deal with snakes inside homes. The conclusion was that the best thing to do is call people who know what to do, like Pure Venom staff.
The changeover to winter sport has taken place and the new mini AstroTurf surface is almost complete and should be open for play by the end of March.
