New spokesman for Ugu

Sipho Khuzwayo is now the senior manager of health, environmental management and economic development.

FOLLOWING his recent appointment as acting senior manager of communications and mayoralty, France Zama is the official spokesman for Ugu District Municipality.

According to the municipality, his appointment was part of its ongoing organisational review strategy, aimed at accelerating service delivery.

Mr Zama has taken over from Sipho Khuzwayo who, under the municipality’s infrastructure and economic development department, has assumed the role of senior manager of health, environmental management and economic development.

Duties of the new communications head will include media liaison. As the municipal spokesman, he will ensure that all communication with the media is streamlined and that the public is kept abreast of municipal activities, decisions and matters relating to the office of the mayor.
