MERLEWOOD Primary pupils had quite an exciting week with a visit from Pure Venom Reptile Park, when they had an opportunity to get up close and personal with snakes. Pupils were riveted by the informative talk, but the main attraction was the Burmese python.
In celebration of Easter, pupils took part in a ‘crazy hat’ competition and outdid themselves with creativity and enthusiasm. Judges had their work cut out choosing the best hat.
Beautiful posters adorned the school and special assemblies were conducted during ‘Water Week’ to teach pupils the importance of saving water.
Congratulations to all parents who were recently elected onto the new school governing body (SGB). The school looks forward to the forthcoming input, guidance and support.
