Murder at old cemetery
The man was earlier seen having an argument over a cellphone.
FEAR the living not the dead when you visit the old cemetery across the road from the beleaguered St Katharine’s Anglican Church.
It is currently a haven for criminals with a man stabbed to death among the overgrown grave sites only last Thursday.
The unidentified man, thought to be in his early 20’s, was last seen walking with another man and arguing over a cellphone. He was found fatally stabbed in the chest in the cemetery which is near the taxi rank.

The Herald has written many articles highlighting that the cemetery is overgrown and a crime hot spot. Cars are also often parked illegally at the entrance to St Katharine’s Anglican Church.
The Herald visited the poorly-kept cemetery again last Thursday and found more sections of the fence had been broken, the area reeked of urine and vagrants were wandering around.
St Katharine’s Church has been broken into many times.
Sadly, the municipal cemetery has become far too dangerous for family members to pay tribute to those buried there or for people to scatter ashes.
