AT last term’s final assembly, Creston’s headmaster Philip Hawke congratulated past pupil Clinton Bezuidenhout for his phenomenal success in motor racing. Clinton was the youngest go-kart world champion (at age 11) and has already won two go-kart races this year at Red Star race track and Kyalami. He has 23 go-kart titles under his belt since starting racing and races a VW Golf in Formula Legend – the highest class he can race at his age. If he accumulates enough points, Clinton will be invited to race in Las Vegas at the end of the year.
Junior Primary’s gr 2 classes recently put in a great deal of creative effort in constructing their own model farmyards, complete with animals, grain storage facilities and farm equipment. These exercises help pupils develop a plan and then build the plan with materials found at home.
