LAST Thursday was World Book Day and Margate Primary pupils were encouraged to read a book on the day. Reading is an extremely important aspect of education and many children are not able to read a book. The school has over 26 000 books in its library and all pupils are encouraged to read and enjoy these books.
Well done to Senzo Mbili and Thuthukani Mkhize, who have made it through to the next round of Lower South Coast rugby trials. Extramural activities this term include netball, hockey, soccer and rugby. The Eco Club is doing well with a great number of pupils taking part in planting and looking after all the plants around the school.
