Southcity explores occupations

The school is extremely proud of all athletes who have been chosen for the KZN district teams.

SOUTHCITY would like to thank all parents who helped to make the theme ‘Occupations’ come alive.

Pupils loved learning about stethoscopes and tongue depressers, being bandaged up by doctors and even got to lie in an ambulance.

Gr 00 pupils were treated to ‘lunch’ at the school’s very own ‘City Café’. Pupils were pampered with massages and when a helicopter landed on the field, they were so excited!! To end the two-week theme, the youth pastor spent some fun time with pupils, explaining what his occupation was all about.

The school is proud of Yamayalo Mhlelembana (U12) and Sarah-Joy Pringle (U13), who have been selected to represent the district at the KZN netball trials held last week.

Gareth Pieterse was selected for the U13 SKZN rugby squad for 2015 and Gareth Pieterse, Phumelela Shezi, Lelethu Mnisi, Ben Snell, Hayden Wood, Zach Simpson, Qhama Nyathi, Sarah-Joy Pringle, Tayla van Rooyen, Rebecca Nero, Hayley Raphepele and Mihle Mhlamvu have been selected to represent the Ugu district in hockey.
