MARBURG Primary opened its doors in 1990 and this year marks its 25 anniversary. A series of events has been planned during the course of the year to highlight the achievement of the school. An extraordinary sports day was hosted to celebrate its silver anniversary jubilee last Thursday. Pupils from Jai Hind, Port Shepstone Primary and RA Engar were invited to take part in the celebration.
The first half of the programme consisted of an interhouse challenge with Dolphin coming out first scoring 102 points followed by Sable with 66 points, Puma third with 64 points and Eagle house fourth scoring 59 points.
The drummies from Buhlebezwe Primary led in the athletes from the schools before the second half of the programme. The interschool friendly competition was filled with cheers and excitement from pupils from the four schools.
Marburg Primary emerged victorious securing first position with 66 points. The spirit of sportsmanship was prevalent throughout the day. The school would like to thank all for making the event a success. CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS
