The competition was tough at PSSP’s winter sports day, but the boys’ volleyball team reached the finals.

ONCE again Merlewood Primary’s junior choir did exceptionally well and scooped first place at the Ugu District Choral Eisteddfod held in Uvongo recently. The school is very proud of the little gr 1 and 2 pupils, as well as conductor Jacoba van Rooyen, who manages and conducts the choir.

Congratulations to Jordan Trussler who took third position in the Simply Clean recycling competition launched by Hibiscus Coast Municipality. Aphelele Mjweni and S’lindokuhle Cele also entered and gained valuable experience and were supervised by teacher Ashika Naicker.

Athletes took part in the winter games held at PSSP last weekend and teams took part in volleyball, netball and soccer. The competition was tough but the boys’ volleyball team reached the finals. Thanks go to Nokuphiwa Dzanibe, Sibongile Mzameko, Gumisayi Saidi and Sphephelo Jwara for managing and coaching the teams.
