Dolphins are tops at St Martin de Porres

The pupils did not disappoint and entertained parents and family who watched them perform.

ST Martin de Porres School held its annual sports day last Friday. Sports training started about a month ago and teachers practised with pupils to prepare them for the day. The pupils did not disappoint and entertained parents and family who watched them perform.

Winning best sports boys for the day were Kwanele Zondo and Ndabenhle Khawula. Best sports girl was Mbalenhle Mthalane. The events were made up of novelty items, sprints, long distance and tug of war. Sports coordinator Ian Rajagopal said he was proud of how pupils performed on the day.

“They were superb,” said Mr Rajagopal. He thanked the entire staff for making the sports day a success. Winning the sports day was Dolphin house, followed closely by the Sharks.
