PORT Shepstone Junior Primary would like to sincerely thank the team of nursing sisters from the Department of Health for their efficiency and compassion when they vaccinated pupils against diphtheria last week. A sweetie from the school principal after the injection seemed to make all the difference to little pupils. Parents are also thanked for their cooperation with consent forms and immunisation cards.
Gr 1, 2 and 3 pupils took part in Southcity’s soccer tournament and Emma van Vuuren (head of sports) and her team of coaches are thanked for their commitment, proving that practice makes perfect. All pupils are hard at practice in preparation for the interhouse athletics which will take place on June 11.
The Travelling Bookshop will visit the school on Thursday and Friday, June 11 and 12. The latest fiction and non-fiction will be on display in the school hall and parents are also welcome to attend. Other local school librarians and parents are invited to visit after school.
