IZOTSHA Primary is exceptionally proud of pupils who have been selected for various KZN sports teams. Keara Dunford has been selected for KZN U12A hockey, Sarah Rolfe U12B hockey, Zama Ngubane U13C hockey, Kaleb Thomas U13A rugby and Kaid Morsink for both U13B rugby and U13C hockey.
The U13A rugby boys played a competitive rugby match against Creston College last week. Izotsha boys displayed a superior attacking style and slick handling skills. Stand-in captain Chase Britz stood out in both defence and attack, scoring 13 points with one try and a conversion. Even with three star players away on tour with the South Coast rugby team, the boys showed tremendous heart and determination in every facet of play, going on to win the match 48-0.
‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ was the theme for the gr 6 fund-raiser held last Friday. The entire school dressed up accordingly and there was a wonderful buzz of excitement in the school hall where all sorts of delicious treats were on sale.
