ISLAMIC School hosted its first ‘Women’s Fun Walk’, which was initiated to promote health and fitness amongst the women.
The walk was held at the Albersville Astro Arena Walk Track last Sunday and commenced promptly at 8.30am. Collectively, the 150 women who donned walking shoes completed approximately 600km.
As is mandatory at any fun walk, the school provided delectable food and beverages, set in a tea garden bedecked in pink.
The highlight of the fun walk was the beautiful ‘goodie bags’ which were given to each entrant at the end of the walk. And not forgetting the ten lucky draws which brought this successful day to a close.
The school is proud of everyone who so effortlessly took part, some of whom completed 20 rounds around the track which amounts to 7km.
