Shot, stabbed and thrown into ravine

ROBBERS lured a man outside his home by smashing his windows and then murdered him.
They struck at about 2am on June 4 at 28-year-old Sandile Richard Mzizi’s home in Ntshongeni Ward, Amandawe.
He feared they were also stealing his car so he went out to investigate.
His mother heard gunshots and frantically ran out to help.However, his body was only found the next morning in a deep ravine near the Amahlongwa River. He had been shot and stabbed multiple times.
Members of the Port Shepstone Search and Rescue Unit retrieved the body and brought it up to the road.
A bystander chatted away to the police while they worked. However, they weren’t fooled and he was arrested as a suspect.
Detective Sergeant Njabulo Latha, of the Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service, members of the Scottburgh Cluster Detective Task Team, Umzinto K9 Unit and Scottburgh Crime Intelligence soon arrested three others, two of them from Adams Mission in Amanzimtoti.
They hit the jackpot and, together with a firearm, they also recovered property that had allegedly been stolen in various other robberies and hijackings throughout the district.
