During the July holidays, preparatory pupils Lelethu Mnisi, Gareth Pieterse and Sarah-Joy Pringle travelled to Bloemfontein to compete in a B-side inter-provincial hockey tournament.
They represented the KZN Coastal U13C boys’ and girls’ hockey teams respectively. Both teams did exceptionally well in the tournament.
Sarah-Joy captained the girls’ team, which outdid themselves and earned a silver medal, losing by one goal to the Free State in the final. The boys’ team also earned themselves a silver medal. They scored 20 goals, but had only two goals scored against them. The team lost 2-1 to the KZN Coastals B team in the final.
Gareth Pieterse and Sibulele Bubu also represented the SKZN U13 cricket team during the last week of the holidays. They played three matches of which they won two and lost the third against an U15 team.
