PORT Shepstone High’s Ensemble has definitely been hitting all the right notes recently. Following a hugely successful concert, the Ensemble performed at the Hibiscus music eisteddfod held at Creston College recently.
This talented group was awarded 95 percent, which is the highest mark given during this year’s programme. Other gold awards went to Michael Botha (solo and duet), Gabriella du Toit (duet), Daniel van Schalkwyk (solo and duet), Megan van Schalkwyk (duet), Thando Nkomo (solo) and the Sheppie Mambaso Boys (small ensemble).
Those who missed these performances will be happy to hear that a CD recording is being planned for the end of the year.
At the Ugu Top Schools’ Tournament held in Margate, the PSHS first team basketball girls and boys’ U16 teams contributed to the school being nominated overall winners of the tournament. The U16 girls’ soccer team won the recent tournament held in Umhlanga.
