PORT Shepstone Islamic School pupils competed at the first Umbango River Conservancy Spellathon competition held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary last week. Sumayya Desai (gr 3) and Wardah Madari (gr 7) clinched first positions in their respective categories and were presented with cash prizes and trophies. The school thank the organisers and congratulates Sumayya and Wardah.
Last Saturday was indeed a special day on the Islamic School calendar. Gr 9 pupils embarked on a special outreach programme for children with special needs. Pupils from St Martin’s and Wonderland were treated to a fun-filled day, which included displays, games, activities , a colourful jumping castle, rabbits, quad bike rides, with delicious eats being the order of the day. The day ended on a high note with a tantalising braai and the distribution of gift packs. The school would like to thank all who contributed to making this day a success.
