Long weekend for Hibberdene Academy

There's nothing better than a long weekend.

LAST week the academy celebrated International Book Week. In Afrikaans grade 7 and 8 the pupils made posters about a story they had read and the grades 5 and 6 made collages in English depicting chameleons, an endangered species on our doorstep.

We all know that the readers of today are the leaders of tomorrow and celebrating these educational events has encouraged pupils to enjoy spending time at the library to enjoy new books.

On Wednesday we will have a Cultural Day with pupils encouraged to dress in their cultural regalia. With Friday a school holiday, teachers and pupils are looking forward to a long weekend.
