DRESSED in traditional outfits, Hibberdene Academy pupils started their long weekend on a high note. They looked absolutely stunning.
What was more exciting is that pupils proved how much they enjoy the privilege of being in a diverse school and exchanging traditional clothing between the cultures.
Later on Wednesday, under the watchful eye of teacher Meyer Swanepoel and the assistance of grade 11 pupils, grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 had an adventure camp at the school from 4pm till the following morning.
They played games, went to the beach and sang the night away, enjoying every moment of the evening.
The grade 9 class learned about recycling and had a fantastic time as they presented the objects they made with renewable resources for their English project.
The pupils had to find recyclable goods and make a useful object which varied from a pot plant and candle holder from empty 2 litre bottles, a combination dress/raincoat from a black bag and plastic, to a pencil case made from plastic bags and wool.
