IT IS business as usual at PSSP ahead of a very busy fourth term. The extra-mural programme has commenced in earnest, the highlight being the inter-house swimming gala scheduled for October 29. Heats in preparation for this event got under way this past week. Remedial lessons have also been offered to support pupils in mathematics. Parents whose children have been identified are reminded to encourage their children to attend these important lessons.
Parents were once again afforded the opportunity of discussing their children’s academic performance with teachers last Thursday afternoon. The turnout of parents was encouraging.
‘Books-2-You’ will have a book display and sale at the school next Monday and Tuesday, where pupils will have the opportunity of acquiring their very own reading material. Parents are encouraged to support their children in this regard.
The school choir performed at the annual ‘Voices for Hospice’ fund-raiser held at the Norwegian Settlers Church last Thursday evening. The choir once again did the school proud. The school would like to thank teachers Heidi Huizinga and Talia Wilson for their dedication in preparing PSSP pupils for this event.
