SOUTHCITY Christian College held its annual prize-giving last Wednesday. This prestigious event is intended to honour pupils who have achieved in various areas of their ‘school life’ over the course of the year. Top students in each grade were honoured, as were those who have shone on the sports field. The award for the dux student of 2015 went to Mpendulo Bungane, who richly deserved this recognition for all his hard work.
The most exciting part of the evening was the announcement of the school leadership team, with the top four comprising Graeme Bester (deputy head boy), Denita-Sue Pieterse (deputy head girl), Amy Henson (head girl) and Stephan Smit (head boy). The school is extremely proud of all these pupils and all that they have achieved over the course of the year.
