SUNNY Hill Primary held its concert recently at the Uvongo town hall to the theme ‘A day at the movies’. Pupils used movie soundtrack songs for their dance and performance routines. Gr 1 classes cleverly ‘manoeuvered’ the audience into the woods where seven dwarfs were digging while singing ‘Heigh-ho’ from Snow White. Then it was off to a frosty ‘ice land’ where ‘Love is an open door’ from the movie ‘Frozen’, and finally with feet tapping away to ‘Baby, baby, just a little bit’ from ‘Happy Feet’.
Gr 2 pupils whisked the audience away to Planet 51 with bright, colourful lollipops, while others turned into little yellow characters in ‘Because I’m happy’ taken from the movie ‘Despicable me’. All performers were true stars and the concert was a hit!
