Islamic School netball girls fare well

All three teams have resolved to start preparing in earnest for the next tournament.

ISLAMIC School’s U17, U13 and U11 girls took part in an AMS KZN Netball Tournament last Saturday at Hoy Park in Durban. All three teams played seven matches each. Team coach Sooraya Hanief maintains the girls played professionally and have been enriched by the exciting and challenging experience.

The U11 girls held out strongly until the semi-finals winning two matches and drawing one. After a long and exhausting day, the girls enjoyed cooling off with ice creams at Durban beach. All three teams have resolved to start preparing in earnest for the next tournament. Husna Soni (gr 1), Ayesha Siddiqa (gr 2) and Brendan Mutsahuni (gr 3) all won hampers from the South African Halaal Association (SANHA) for a colouring competition.
