RA ENGAR took part in the recent Hibiscus Coast Municipality School Recycling Competition held at the Margate town hall. Wandile Nyawose and Megan-Leigh Polliah helped secure fifth position in the arts and crafts category.
Aphelele Goozo won the speech category and the school was placed second in the waste collection category. RA Engar received R3 500 and HCM is thanked for hosting the competition.
Pupils took the day off last Friday for a fun day and got a break from the classroom to enjoy a non-contact dance marathon, games and many other fun activities. There were also stalls selling food and sweets, face painting and nail art.
Younger pupils preferred bouncing on the jumping castle and watching the tug of war. The school thanks all sponsors and well-wishers for their contributions toward a highly successful and enjoyable fund-raiser.
