RA ENGAR foundation phase pupils held a successful reading festival last week. Two pupils per grade were selected and each had to read a passage or recite a poem. They read with confidence, clarity, fluency and excellent expression. The school encourages pupils to read and develop a love for reading and all entrants received a certificate, medal and a book. The books were generously sponsored by Meg Dickson from the SithandaUkufunda Organisation and the school thanks Meg for her generosity.
Intermediate and senior phase pupils were also motivated to read and competed in a reading competition last week. The top three pupils in each grade were awarded books and principal Dr Mala Appalraju is thanked for her sponsorship.
