AT Port Shepstone Senior Primary’s interhouse swimming gala last Thursday afternoon, Barracuda house was crowned champion for the third consecutive time. Well done to junior victor ludorum Andrew Starling, junior victrix Tiffany Morrison, senior victor Keyton Vorster and senior victrix Abigail Saunders, who all received special awards.
Special mention must be made of senior victor Keyton, who broke a total of five records in the U12 division. He also set new records in the 100m crawl, 25m butterfly, 25m backstroke, 25m crawl and 25m breaststroke events and earned a R300 cash prize for his outstanding performance. New records were also set by Abigail Saunders (girls U12 25m butterfly) and Asanda Zondi (boys U14 25m crawl).
Counselling psychologist Dominique Mamet gave pupils valuable tips on study methods and how to deal with exam-related stress at assembly last Friday. Final exams commence this Friday (6th) and parents are encouraged to support their children in their home study programmes.
