SHEPPIE High pupils were treated to a ‘Grade 10 Day’ last week and spent the day out of the classroom interacting with one another. Motivational talks were given by Damien Williams, Barry Benadé and Kerry McKillen. The talks were based on the three themes that were printed on the back of their T-shirts, namely ‘#dream big, #stay humble, #be yourself’. They enjoyed a variety of acts during the talent show, followed by a picnic and signing of the Grade 10 banner.
Some teachers and pupils took part in a ‘swimathon’ gala last weekend to raise funds for Blue Ocean Aquatics Swimming Club. Patrice Pousson attempted to rev up the competition between pupils and staff, giving swimmers one hour to record as much mileage as possible. However, pupils proved far too strong and managed to record a kilometre more than the staff.
