THE national science Olympiad held in August was attempted by 100 pupils and Islamic School science ‘boffins’ Muhammad Padia (gr 11) and Usamah Ganie (gr 10) scooped third position nationally. Padia and Ganie have been invited to attend an awards ceremony later this month.
Padia features currently on the national shortlist of nine candidates and qualifies for the final round of exams in January 2016. If Padia is successful, he will attend the International Biology Olympiad to be held in Vietnam in July 2016. The school is proud of both Padia and Ganie’s achievements.
One hundred and thirty pupils from grades 1 to 6 took part in the Conquesta Olympiad, where 13 pupils obtained distinctions. These young achievers were presented with certificates at a special assembly. Congratulations to all entrants, especially the top achievers.
