THE ANNUAL Bruce Piper Award Monologue competition was held recently in Durban. Forty thousand pupils from KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape schools took part. Sheppie High’s Zamah Nkonyeni and Wesley Floris qualified to take part in the competition finals by achieving outstanding results in the ‘Speech and Drama Festival’ held earlier this year. Adjudicators judged every performance and Wesley emerged as winner and recipient of the 2015 Bruce Piper award after his performance comprising a monologue from ‘The Lord of the Rings’. The school wishes all pupils good luck as they commence year-end exams.
