SOUTHCITY pupils Hannah Scott and Ella Drummond have been chosen to attend the Junior Summer School of Excellence 2016 in New York with the American Academy of Dance. This will be the 23rd summer school and the girls will attend from July 11 – 22. The programme includes ballet technique, jazz, performance awards ballet, folk dancing and Spanish dancing. The American Academy of Dance is one of the leading summer schools in America and the school is very proud of this fantastic achievement for Hannah and Ella.
Last Friday, a combined U11 and U13 girls’ cricket team took part in a festival held at Creston College. Two matches were played and Southcity won by 10 runs against Creston and 9 runs against Port Edward Primary. Great fun was had by all and Creston is thanked for hosting the tournament.
