PSSP held its annual awards day last Tuesday to a packed school hall with parents proudly witnessing their children’s achievements. Pupils who excelled academically, as well as in sport and other special categories, were recognised for their efforts.
In his motivational address, guest speaker Pastor Reggie John encouraged pupils to continue to strive for excellence, emphasising that pupils need to appreciate and respect teachers and parents. He also encouraged parents to work closely with teachers.
In the special awards category, Benjamin Geoffery was awarded sportsman of the year and best all-rounder; Chantel Majola received the sportswoman of the year award and Zainub Dhai best all-rounder. Tristan Sooklall and Annika Chetty walked away with the respective good fellowship boy and girl awards and the prestigious Dux award was closely contested throughout the year, resulting in the award being shared by Aaliah Moolla, Annika Chetty and Chania Landsberg.
