CRESTON College’s last week of school came to a close with the junior and senior prize-giving in the beautifully decorated ‘Winter Wonderland’ school hall. The final assembly was a poignant affair as it was the last formal occasion with headmaster Philip R Hawke. The ground staff choir performed a memorable farewell song.
Blue Ocean Aquatics members competed in the Westville Sprints Swimming Gala meet last weekend. Milla Drakopoulos won one gold medal and four silver, improving by 14.48 seconds and Michelle Kretzschmar won two gold medals.
Emma Kuhn improved by 15.38 seconds and won six gold, one silver and the overall age group award in the ten year category. Samantha Labuschagne won four gold, one silver and broke meet records in the 16 year age group and Keytin Voster bagged one gold and one bronze. The club looks forward to the KZN championships in December and level 1 provincial championships in February.
